Anyone who has ever tried to photograph birds will understand the frustration. The birds are easily frightened away long before the photographer can get close enough for a good picture. Sure, there are telephoto lenses one could use but these cost money. Plus having to wait for hours for the birds to come to a feeder is, well, strictly for the birds!
The Bird Photo Booth is a wonderful solution to avid bird watchers. This KickStarter project really captured the attention of birders and photographers and was quickly funded. The first units scheduled for delivery this month. It’s not hard to see why so many saw the potential.
The handcrafted hardwood feeder is designed to hold the iPhone or an iPod which will then allow live streaming to an iPad, tablet or computer via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth using a suitable app.
Birders can then remotely watch and photograph birds in real time. The macro images captured will be unparalleled for detail and exquisite color. The birds are seen against beautifully blurred backgrounds.
